An errata list at the end of the last volume of the series would be a splendid idea. I'd be glad to contribute.Jim Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13711021751372128761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2223827637874197433.post-41532858270793650282009-03-20T15:01:00.000-07:002009-03-20T15:01:00.000-07:00As sometimes happens in projects of this size, the...As sometimes happens in projects of this size, the volumes prepared by Windhaven include evident errors (e.g., Farmer in the Sky, last line of page 49: an exponent of 29 is shown, despite "ten to the twentieth power" on preceding line and twenty zeroes in the same number written out on the next page). Of course, this and other sorts of errors and discrepancies (same volume, page 32, "Super-New-York" versus "Supra" elsewhere) may have been in the original editions, but even so, they should have been seen and dealt with (or at least noted). There is also the occasional obvious spelling error (e.g., "Sit Isaac Newton" early in Between Planets).

Would you be willing to print a list of such errors and/or discrepancies at the end of the last volume of the series? If so, where would you like subscribers to send what they find?

(I wouldn't expect such a list to include minor errors seen in the Windhaven volumes, such as missing quotation marks at end of dialogue. But more notable errors unacknowledged and unexplained could affect the value of the complete set, hence the errata lists accompanying some other authors' complete works.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2223827637874197433.post-11070493858502492222009-03-16T19:43:00.000-07:002009-03-16T19:43:00.000-07:00While I have been enjoying the most recent set of ...While I have been enjoying the most recent set of volumes, it would be nice to see an update on the next set.
